He brushed past her, the scent of him lingering even as he continued down the hall. She breathed deep, taking in what was left. That smell drove her wild, made her want to follow, just to be near that scent. She wondered what aftershave he used, as she fumbled with her locker. Maybe something oceanic, or musk....She thought, no, that’s not it. She continued down the hall, still wondering...

A tingle ran down her spine, and she tensed. Someone was behind her, she knew it, yet she forced herself to continue down the hall. Was it him? She could hear a light tapping, barely audible above the tap of her high heeled shoes, yet it was there. Enough is enough, she thought to herself, as she turned around to face whoever was following her.

“Crap! Jewel! God...You scared me! Say something next time!” Jazz told her friend. “You almost gave me a heart attack...”

“If you really want to piss me off, keep talking.” She said, desperately trying to keep her voice under control. She stared at his face, studying his eyes, and tried to understand why he had to keep bothering her. “I need to study.” She turned back to her writing, and looked something up in the text book.

“OK...I’m going to leave you to your studying then...I’ll talk to you later.”

Apparently, he didn’t get the message.

“Do you think he’ll ever leave me alone?”

“I don’t know Jazz, maybe. What if you acted totally mean and snobbish to him? Would that make him go away?” Jewel clearly had no intentions in helping, as she was clearly busy sorting through her recent RPs.

“Ugh.”

Hearing her friends sigh of dismay, Jewel turned to look at her. “If he even comes close to you, or tries to make a move on you, I swear I’ll take him down. Ah! I need something to punch.” She growled at the air, and cracked her knuckles.

Adam showed up at the table a few minutes later. Jewel and Jazz were busy planning of ways to keep him away.
